What I would like to know about my topic......

I do not know a lot about my topic overall however I would like to know why so many people can get away with child abuse. I would also like to know why people would turn to child abuse when they are frustrated or angry. Do most parents abuse their child when they are younger or older as in there teenage years? Is child abuse really targeted to all races or is it one main race? Why would someone beat their own child rather than taking it out on someone who is not their family? Is there more cases known in the United States rather than another country? I would like to know how many cases have been reported over the last five years, and how many of them were babies verses teens? Finally, I would like to find out how many cases resulted in death?

  1. Your questions are extremely profound, and you posed questions that I would like to know as well. Child abuse is an epidemic in the United States and across the world. My questions to you are, "Who is the first person to use the terminology child abuse? Has this definition shifted overtime?"

  2. Ms. Mckoy when researching the questions I wanted to know I found out that South Carolina is ranked 47th in the U.S. for child abuse and the reason we are so low is because the cases are not reported and instead ignored. I found that the top state is actually Kentucky.
